CONTEXT
This was an interface design concept project I worked on under the guidance of my interface design professor Evan Carpenter Crawford, and with the help of critiques with my classmates.
The duration of this project was 5 weeks and I was responsible for the entire UI process which included contextual research, personas, process mapping, trend analysis, wireframes, and the final prototype.
BACKGROUND
Pinterest has a terrific algorithm but allows for limited user feedback. Additionally, external links can often be broken, or lead to spam sites, or sites that are unrelated to the topic of interest. With many users being able to add content that can show up in peoples feeds these links often have no way of being regulated.
Pinterest is also a social media application, thus allows people to share, save and recreate content for inspiration or projects, as well as read articles, blog posts and recipes. The saving mechanism is done by adding things to boards, however not everyone wants to save pins permanently or have those pins impact what their algorithm shows.
